Privacy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party resources. The only form is the comment form on posts, described below. Server logs may exist at the hosting level; they are used only for operating the site.
Map data
The contour map is Mount LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains, traced from 3DEP data courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey (via AWS Terrain Tiles). The map is generated once and served from this site; viewing it makes no requests to anyone else.
Comments
The comment form collects your name, your comment, and an optional email address that is never shown or shared. To limit abuse, a salted hash of your IP address is stored with the comment; the address itself is not kept. Comments are checked for spam automatically: the name and comment text are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for that check. To have a comment removed, use the contact page.
